Epoxy Floors: An epoxy floor will take two days minumum for a typical garage because they take longer to dry and do not include the benefits of polyaspartic coatings. Epoxy floors cannot be used right away as dry/cure time is longer. Epoxy is best for  metallic floor systems, also known a marble epoxy floors or designer floors. 

For both coating types, the timeframe can vary depending on the size and complexity of the project. 

Prior to application, adequate preparation is essential, which involves tasks such as grinding the floor, smoothing uneven surfaces, removing previous coatings, patching cracks in the concrete, or filling holes in the substrait with cementitious material. Once complete, the substrate must be vacuumed thoroughly prior to applying the initial coat or primer.
